A Tribute to chopper

Last Friday Pentland United lost one of their own when Liam Mackay passed away tragically. Chopper as he was affectionately known was a character to say the least and will be missed by all associated with the club. As a player Chopper only played one way and that was to give 110%.His attitude and enthusiasm was infectious to all that came into contact with him. He played the game the way he lived his life full of commitment and with a determination to be the very best version of himself. There is no doubt to us all that he would have gone on to achieve so much more in his life sadly those opportunities were taken from him. His time may have been short but he has left some great memories, which will burn bright with us all.
No words that we express at this time will really do any justice to his memory or ease the pain that his family and friends are suffering at this awful time, however we felt it only right that as a club we put on record how much he meant to us all.
Sleep tight Chopper.
